The Ogre himself — Anwar Timol — brought 15 years of time-tested relationships with the industry’s most prominent service providers to the launch of CloudOgre in January 2014.

Since then, we’ve grown from a telecom consultant delivering high-speed connectivity, unified communications, and data center solutions to a full scale Managed Service Provider owning our own Tier 3 data center in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with a security and development practice.

Anwar created CloudOgre to give the power back to the customer. He was sick of watching carriers with poor project management and communication strategies do disservices to their customers. Inspired by watching others fail at providing superior customer service time and time again, Anwar knew he had the means and the drive to bring every customer an ideal, successful experience in telecom. That philosophy expanded in practice to help IT teams better support their end-users, from admin to executive, by combining best in class solutions with subject matter experts to cost effectively produce results.

Headquartered in the historical Mill Spring Agricultural Center in Mill Spring, NC, we purchased the building and 6-acre campus in 2019 for the specific advantages the structure and local area can provide for a Tier-3 Data Center. Situated in the Isothermal Belt, which creates a stable year-round climate and the country’s top energy producers such as Duke Energy and Dominion Natural Gas. With multiple Internet Service Providers and dual points of entry we’re able protect businesses while providing jobs and connectivity in rural America. We’re a niche player who doesn’t charge extra for cross connects or remote hands.
